    Hey kids this is a well taken point. Ebbetts Pass Fire District has a list of qualified lot cleaners, tree removers, etc. Start with them, they have already done the footwork.

    …and don’t forget to ask for their contractor’s license which you can easily check online to see if it’s still valid with the California Department of Consumer Affairs..

    Hey all

    I’m trying to be the good (out-of-state) owner and do my best to remove ($$$) bark beetle infested trees. Have gotten a number of quotes, but a few that can’t provide insurance paperwork. Please folks. Your cabin aside. If anu of these workers who are “contracted” under a non-/under-insured company are injured swinging around in over 100′ trees or drop something onto your cabin/property – well you’re out of luck as far as homeowners covers. So is that unfortunate person who gets hurt on your property and just might sue your policy. Be smart. Be fair. But be sure to demand a certificate of insurance before you spend the $$.
