    OK, it’s the big weekend! Let’s all have fun. Let’s all be good neighbors. Let’s all be on the lookout for any fireworks. Even possession is not legal in our fire district.

    @bigtreestechman – I don’t know why fireworks are legal ANYWHERE in Calaveras County. The whole county is a fire hazard. All fireworks are illegal in all of Tuolumne County but only in the Ebbetts Pass Fire District in Calaveras County. Doesn’t make sense. The people that sell fireworks for charity can bake cakes or pies and sell them for charity!

    Anyone hear any firecrackers about 2:00 am this morning (Sunday, 6/29)? My Lab was scared about something and wouldn’t let me sleep. It wasn’t a coyote because she chases those! 🙂

    Yes! Every year there’s at least a handful of idiots with firecrackers. Get ’em outta’ here!!

    All brands and types of fireworks are not allowed
    within the boundaries of the Ebbetts Pass Fire District,
    except those allowed by permit at special events.

    If you see anyone in possession of fireworks in our area, please alert police and fire authorities immediately.
