Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll give them a try and see what they recommend. It’s amazing how the stone holds dirt and then gets distributed to the carpets in the other areas of the house…..probably because the dirt here is so fine.

Surtech Supply in Tracy,Ca. has a full line of wonderful floor and stone cleaners and sealers. They are great to work with and I’m sure could recommend someone in the area that could address your floor needs. Most likely a proper cleaning with the a correct neutral cleaner and then posibly a penitrating sealer would do the job depending on what type of stone you have. You can find them on the Internet. Hope that helps.

We have some odd flooring in our cabin, not sure if it is tile or stone.
The flooring is hexagon shape, reminds me of clay of some sort. Does this sound like yours?
I plan on taking a sample home next time to take to a tile place here. I will for sure let you know if I find out anything.

I have stone floors throughout my house, and they seem to hold dirt, regardless of how much they are washed. Can anyone recommend someone who will come in and seal them? I’ve tried Alpine and received no response.
    Thanks.
