I talked to a CalFire guy this morning about 8:30. He said they are reducing the staff assigned to the fire. I saw at least 100 fire trucks and related equipment going down the mountain this morning about 8:30. Actually, this is good news. There’s a staging area in San Andreas that had about 50 PG&E trucks. The CalFire guy said, “There are more of them than us.” In San Andreas I saw two trucks loaded with power poles. I didn’t see which way they were going.

http://cdfdata.fire.ca.gov/incidents/incidents_details_info?incident_id=1221Ummm except “All areas outside the fire perimeter.” is a bit over the top ambiguous… Does that include Nome, Alaska? I think it does. They are, after all, outside the fire perimeter.
I think it’s great that they’ve done so much to deal with the fire, but their information dissemination for this incident has been horrible IMHO.
