There was an inch or two of new snow overnight last night, with light snow expected throughout the day. Chain controls were off on Hwy 4 yesterday afternoon, but they’re on again from Arnold on up. Drive safely!

Came down from Kenshaw to boards crossing today with AWD and snow tires. No issues but took it slow. Saw a few vehicles coming up the hill without chains and looked like they made the turn ok.

We live on Wikami and came up this morning in a 4Runner in 4 wheel drive, no chains, all weather tires. No issues. 3 foot frozen berm from plow operations. Observed a few other SUVs driving around neighborhood at low speed w/ no chains. Street is white w/ a thin sheet of packed sow and ice.

We have AWD and brand new snow tires on a Honda Pilot. Driving down and back up Boards Crossing to Kenshaw this morning there were a few squirrely spots but never got out of control. If I were driving front wheel drive, I’d definitely have out on chains.

Do you recommend avoiding the steep hairpin turn on Boards Crossing even with snow tires and AWD? Thanks.

I’m on Kenshaw and came up yesterday. We took boards crossing to black bart then hangtree to Wikami and had no issues with AWD and snow tires. I’d recommend chains if you don’t have snow tires as the roads are still covered with snow.

I’m coming up tomorrow and am wondering if I should expect to put chains on from Hwy 4 to our place on Wikami. I have an AWD SUV, but not snow tires. Of course I have chains which I will bring and put on if needed. Just wondering what to expect given current conditions. Thanks.
