UPDATE: 1/13/18 @ 3:48 PM
Even more progress! The service is installed and waiting for me to restart weewx (the weather station software). It’s been a long day and I’m to tired to do any more troubleshooting so I’m going to wait till tomorrow morning to do the restart.
If all goes well, we may have a very preliminary version of the snow depth page by the end of the day tomorrow. Initially, the data will be in mm. At 25.4 mm per inch, you are bound to see the numbers bouncing around a bit even when there is no snow. Eventually I will improve the stability and convert the display to inches but for now, just getting this thing working will be huge.
ORIGINAL POST 1/13/18:
Great progress today so far.
The sensor is mounted where it’s going to be for this season.
The cable is hooked up and tested and I’ve got the right calibration value so that zero snow reads out 0.0.
Now I just need to get some answers on the weewx installer, do the installation & debug and off to the races we go!
