Just a word of caution for whichever roofing company you select: If you want a manufacturer’s warranty for your new roof, the installer must be certified by the manufacturer for that product. In cold climates, there are specific guidelines that roofers must follow to be able to warrant the roof. This includes weather barriers that you might not be familiar with. Ask your proposed installer to show proof of certification for the products he intends to use.
I’m not trying to take away work from our local trades but roofing is important up here and although a roofer’s proposal may say he includes a 30 year warranty, it may not come from the manufacturer.
