    Rough Fire Bringing Smoke To Our Region

    Kings Canyon National Park, CA…We checked in with TCU Command and they confirmed that most of the smoke in our area today is from the Rough Fire filling our area with drift smoke. The Rough Fire has grown to 85,894 acres and is currently the largest active fire in California. There are 1,967 personnel currently assigned to the Rough Fire. Containment increased to 31%. Rough Fire Information: (559) 332-2028. The information line is located at the Incident Command Post in Squaw Valley on Highway 180.

    Any idea where the smoke is coming from? No news on motherlode.com. It certainly isn’t an authorized burn day.
