The Calaveras Chronicle had an article on new businesses opening in Arnold. I believe it said that Emile Mogannam, owner of the Rusty Knife Shop next to SNAC, had purchased it and was opening a restaurant in the ‘bar and grill’ style of a century ago. Overheard someone at Sarafina’s saying it would be closed for a year to fix up.

Article also said the Lube Room was reopening and the Dorrington Hotel along with saloon was sale pending.

Found another posting on Michael Oliveira’s FB page. It looks like this is a rumor? The new owner is planning on opening up a restaurant/lounge?

Just found a posting on Merita Callaway’s FB page after googling this question. Someone asked this question and supposedly it is a rumor. Who knows. So many businesses gone; buildings vacant. Hope it is a rumor.

We were up last weekend and I think I noticed that White Pines Bar has closed and is cleaned out. Anyone else notice that or know why another business has closed in Arnold?
