    Home Depot carries log splitters. I bought an electric one several years ago. It’s not as powerful as the gas ones, but it does a good job on pine, cedar and fir. Not so good on oak or other hardwoods. Mine is going to get a workout because PG&E just cut down a 23″ diameter fir on my place.

    Costco sells log splitters, who knew? I got one for the same reason as you. I love it, it’s really powerful. Contact me emceemath sbcglobal net and we maybe we can work something out.

    Does anyone have quality wood splitter that they would like to sell (or rent)? I’ve got a about six trees to split from last year.
