The cars moved and today, the giant county snow blower came through and widened Boards Crossing, Kenshaw, Wikami and probably a lot more BTV and SSS roads to full width. There is still slush and ice in the roads so Snow tires & AWD / 4wd with snow tires or chains should be used.
AnnetteParticipantDid the cars on Kenshaw get moved? How much snow is there? Sure miss the snow depth recorder!!
bigtreestechmanKeymasterMaybe bring over a tractor and push them off the road.
Snider Snow and StumpParticipantWHO EVER GUESTS BLOCKING KENSHAW REMOVE YOUR CARS NOW!!! WE CANNOT GET THROUGH!!!
ejgurt1Participantany way to leave? Maybe later today?
bigtreestechmanKeymasterAs of 7:15am, the highway was still closed at Arnold.
If you’re not already up here, don’t come.bigtreestechmanKeymasterOur road, Kenshaw Way, has not been plowed.
ejgurt1Participantare any of the roads in Big Trees Village plowed to allow access to highway 4?
carlshomeParticipantAt 4:15pm this afternoon my son made it to our cabin on Indian Rock in Dorrington. He was stopped by the CHP at the Moran road closure. But they allowed him to pass through the closure to get to Dorrington. He has power, att land line and Comcast all working.
WillyCParticipantThanks. I will keep an eye on the QuickMaps
bigtreestechmanKeymasterGoogle Maps is also showing the full Hwy 4 closure starting at Blue Lake Springs.
I have also heard that the closure has moved down to the Red Apple below Hathaway Pines.bigtreestechmanKeymasterThe caltrans QuickMap app shows 4 closes from Blue Lake Springs on up.

WillyCParticipantI am hearing rumors part of 4 is closed. Any truth to that?
bigtreestechmanKeymasterRoad and snow conditions up here in Dorrington are ridiculous!
Snider Snow and StumpParticipantWe are currently booked for seasonal contracts but are available for one shots for the 2021-2022 season. If you are wanting a contract next year I suggest calling in August and September and getting contracts in before we fill up. We’d love to take everyone but can’t. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Thanks,
Jessica Snider
