I’ll be putting up our hummingbird feeders as soon as the weather warms back up again. Anyone already have a feeder or feeders up and if so, any hummers yet?

Great news! I would imagine the opening date(s) will depend a lot on the weather.

I heard that she had 12 bands signed up. I assume June, July and Aug but I don’t know for sure. But it seems like she has everything under control other than posting the dates!!

That’s terrific. Would someone please post the dates that are booked or at least the first one?

This IS good news! We so enjoy the neighborhood camaraderie, food and music at Tommy’s Backyard. Thanks to Donna for bringing it back for the summer.

I talked to Donna last week and she said Tommy’s Backyard will be open this summer and she has booked the music already. Good entertainment on weekends for anyone who likes good food, music and dancing. Lets hope for no smoke from forest fires and good weather on weekends. Camp Connell is a valuable asset for our area and entertainment is a bonus!

The Bear Valley COOP has started to accept members. See msg from Steve, the interim board member, below.

While we are not ready to publicly state our current numbers, I will say that we pleasantly surprised to see the orders flowing since the day we announced that we could officially sign up members about 10 days ago. I can say we are already into triple digits on our memberships and every day brings more.

We are confident that we will be able to reach our goals, but this will require the support of our community so I ask that you talk it up with your friends and neighbors who would also be interested and ask them to sign up now at http://www.bvmcoop.org/#!request-info/c6yi

San Andreas, CA…On Thursday, May 1, 2014, the Tuolumne-Calaveras Unit of the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection ( CAL FIRE) will require burn permits for any outdoor burning within State Responsibility Areas of Tuolumne County, Calaveras County, Eastern Stanislaus County and Eastern San Joaquin County. Due to the exceptionally dry conditions, burning will be limited to the hours between 7:00 P.M. and 8:00 A.M.

4.5 miles east of Arnold puts it at the chain control sign just past the park. I have found the info on the website tends to be fairly accurate. (unless the guy just turned it). Based on the snow visible on Joe’s web cam, I would agree with the chain required location.

Anybody know where exactly chain controls start? The Road Conditions say 4.5 miles east of Arnold but those are rarely correct.

Don’t know why your Microsoft security gave you that message. We have nothing to do with the crdttgo.org site.
Our site has the latest software updates as well as Sucuri Security software that keeps our site free from malware and other malicious code. I manage the site and have had no issues to date.
