ParticipantThanks Mtndad for the info and PG&E was our first thought. However, we’ve seen PG&E always top trees under their power lines, not remove them and most, though not all, of the ones we’ve noticed removed would not have been tall enough to interfere with their lines, so were suspecting another agency.

ParticipantIf they were tall enough to reach PGE lines, PGE had them removed. We had two removed.

ParticipantWe’ve noticed walking through BTV neighborhoods that numerous smallish trees have recently been removed along the roads. These were not dead trees, and always were the ones closest to the road, although still set back a fair distance. Does anyone have information on this?

ParticipantThe bottom moulding on my large fixed vinyl window has started to bow out and I now have moisture inside the panes. Can someone recommend a good window company in the area? Thanks!!!

ParticipantHi- we’re heading up to BTV right now. There is a red flag fire warning for dry hot winds. Does anyone know if charcoal grills are banned this summer? They have been in past drought years.
Thanks!!

ParticipantHey Good People,
I,m in Dorrington for the next week. I still have this table. It’s still free. If interested please respond to this post.jr.
ParticipantLion update: it was a male fox doing a vixen scream. It was back yesterday evening and this morning screaming away in plain sight. Look it up on YouTube to hear the scream.

ParticipantOne of the dogs wanted out last night just before midnight. I let him out and he immediately was running along the dog run, and he stopped to bark at the end of the fence. Then I heard a loud scream, and I immediately recognized that there was a mountain lion right by the house! By now, the other dog was heading out the back door, too. Closed the door and I husseled both of them in the house while the lion kept screaming as it moved on. I’ve seen a pair of young lions coming up from the river at dark once about 10 years ago, but until now, I had never seen or heard one before near our cabin in Big Trees. Payette court vicinity.

ParticipantJoe,
I’ll keep checking back!bigtreestechman
KeymasterI was going to try to get some shots down at Sourgrass and Lake Alpine today but they were way too busy to be flying a drone around.
I did make some setting changes and did some practice flying and video capture near the house today. I will try to get some more interesting shots early tomorrow morning and post the results once I get the color grading and editing done.UPDATE: Whoops… the videos I shot earlier were all grossly over exposed. The drone has a fixed aperture if I want to set the ISO and Frame Rate for a nice look, I need to use an appropriate ND filter. I was just in a hurry and forgot to check where my exposure was at and it’s very difficult to tell what the picture quality is like using a smart phone as the display in bright sunlight.

KeymasterI’ve been really busy clearing our lots and staining a new deck. I actually have “Fly” on my to do list today. I hope to start doing weekly videos soon which will include aerial shots.
Sorry about the delay!chipmunk
ParticipantJoe,
