Ok, so I thought I had everything set up but I forgot my new password. In the process of trying to re set it I was given several options, all of which included tying my BTV location to a billing address. I do not have a credit card or phone number that bill to that location.
How do I get past this?caleachParticipantOur Comcast is back on line now.😀
SandiParticipantHi Everybody,
If you would like an invite to the Big Trees Nextdoor forum just send your email address to me at sandi@sierrasentry.com
Thanks,
SandigagacabinParticipantHow do we get an invitation from Sandi?
caleachParticipantI responded to Sandis invitation and got everything set up. I am not able to upload a profile picture for some reason, not that this is terribly important.

jebediah jakeParticipantI was just on the Nextdoor site and ended up deactivating my current account and registering the cabin for Nextdoor Big Trees Village. It turns out for address verification you can upload a utility bill that shows the service address (in BTV) and the home mailing address for the bill and they will then send the activation code.
I would assume that would work if you had a second email address you wanted to use to register the BTV house and keep the main account.caleachParticipantI don’t know about the email addresses but with my two Comcast accounts I have my Bay Area phone as the primary on our home account and my cell as the primary on the BTV account. I seem to recall that I have the same notify email on both of them, but not 100% sure.

skipamyParticipantThanks for the info, I received an email from my thermostat saying that it had lost connection. I went to pge.com and didn’t see an outage, so was wondering what was happening. After seeing your note that it was Comcast, I logged into my Comcast account and lo and behold, it said there was an outage. No mention of when it was expected to be resolved, so thanks for the info.
BTW, comcast.net will not allow me to enter my email address or mobile phone number for the 2 accounts I have (home and BTV). It says it’s already associated with another account.
Can I combine Comcast accounts (like I do with PGE?)
caleachParticipantI just called Comcast and they said that our service is out to due outage in the area and they expect to have it fixed by 5 PM.
caleachParticipantMy camera is down too, Karock near Pawnee
bigtreestechmanKeymasterI have added a menu item at the top of the page which opens a page with links to the alternate FaceBook and NextDoor alternative community forums.
Please do not contact me (joe, aka bigtreestechman) regarding these alternative forums as I have nothing to do with them.
joeapachegrailParticipantFor Facebook users I have created a page: “Big Trees Raves” Might be an alternative for those trying to get onto Nextdoor (I am having difficulty, it keeps sending me to my flatland Nextdoor page).

jebediah jakeParticipantTried to log into my webcams and Nest but both are offline. I checked to see if PGE was reporting any power outages in the area and they are not. Does anyone have any idea if there is a Comcast outage in the vicinity of Ottawa and Crow?
gagacabinParticipantThe following is an email I just received from nextdoor
Hi Linda,
I’m John from the Space Coast in Florida and as a Volunteer Nextdoor Lead/Community Expert I’m available to answer your support ticket quicker than going into the normal Nextdoor support queue (up to a 48-hour wait for a response).
Sorry to hear there’s a problem with verification.
Here’s other verification options:
OPTION A: A verified Nextdoor member in that neighborhood can contact Nextdoor and verify you reside or have property in the neighborhood:
1. Navigate to https://help.nextdoor.com/customer/portal/email…
2. Select “MY NEIGHBORHOOD INFORMATION” and then Select “VERIFY A NEIGHBOR”
3. Fill out the online form then Select “SEND EMAIL.”OPTION B: A verified Nextdoor member in that neighborhood can also contact a Nextdoor Lead listed at https://nextdoor.com/directory/leads/ who can “immediately” verify you under their “Verify Neighbors” List.
OPTION C: You can provide a document to prove residence or ownership (e.g. a property deed, rental agreement, utility bill…). Closing documents are accepted after the actual closing has occurred. If you want that option, I can forward this support ticket and Nextdoor can contact you within 24 hours to submit a copy.
Can you please try one of those verification options?
Kind Regards,
