With a 30 mile range, I don’t see how they will work.
I don’t know of any TV towers in the foothills.
caleachParticipantHas anyone had any experience with either indoor or outdoor HD antennas such as the Fox HD TV Antenna?
there are several out there but wondering if they even work in BTV at all?
Thanks,
StevemikeanelloParticipantI believe that was an opossum but it is not clear. The camera’s sensor turns on when something comes by and at night it is a bunch of infrared lights so it startles the animals at night.
SnowShoeParticipantWow. That is amazing. Couple of questions. What was the animal after the mountain lion and before the skunk? Is that a pig? Also, does the camera make a noise while filming at night? The bears and the deer seem to know they are being watched. Thanks again!
gagacabinParticipantWhat beauty there is in them there hills!! Thanks for sharing, I enjoyed every second.
AZbunchParticipantVery cool!! Thanks for posting!

All these animals are on trails just off Chumash and Shoshone about 15 minute walk from my cabin.

SierrashooParticipantMattresses can only be disposed of at the Rock Creek facility – and that’s a long round trip! CalWaste has debris bins to rent. http://cal-waste.com/debris-boxes-2/
fishinfoolParticipantClearing out the basement, in need of someone to haul off a variety of building supplies, old mattresses, bed frames etc. Any ideas on who’s in business to help with such a task?
chainsawcindy1ParticipantWe had a generator put in our lower unfinished area. Our electrician wired three new plugs next to our refrigerator, a wall plug and our microwave. I believe they just put breakers for those on the main panel. So when the electricity goes out, we plug into the generator plugs, fire up the generator (gas) at least we keep our food cold, are able to heat in the microwave and have a lamp. We have never used it. The gas has obviously gone bad in the generator that has never been used! With so many dead trees cut down there may not be a need to put in the backup power anyway anymore. The one thing we made sure we have in our cabin in an old rotary dial phone…they never need power, so you are able to check with pg&e when the power is expected to come back on! Good luck and Happy New Year.
bigtreestechmanKeymasterI need a little plumbing help. I need to mate up a 3/4″ 14 NPS (straight) male to 3/4″ threaded PVC (NPT – tapered), preferably without having to buy a $50 tap.
Any suggestions?
FYI this is for the Snow Depth Project. The sensor has a male 3/4″ 14 NPS threaded connection.- This topic was modified 6 years, 11 months ago by bigtreestechman.
guyoParticipantJoe, thank you for keeping us up to date in getting the snow depth monitoring system set up. I like reading about your trials and tribulations!
