Here’s a pic of the dog
Attachments:
chainsawcindy1ParticipantTaking a walk this morning and on Ute a German Shepard (?) came bounding up behind us…choke collar..no tags. He followed us all the way home! He is lost now. Anyone missing a friendly dog?
tortugaParticipantToday (Dec 20) is a burn day.
allenParticipantIf they want to qualify for a refund they will have to file a Petition for Redetermination when they get the first bill, and any bills thereafter.
ndamicoParticipantHi,
i went to buy our tickets for the event and all i see are adult tickets left. are there no children’s tickets left? we are trying to get a ticket for our 18 month old daughter.
thank you
sumac6996ParticipantDitto on the mess and lawn damage left by PG&E’s contracted tree service.
The PG&E’s service area is divided into eight Vegetation Management Areas. Each is staffed with Program Managers and Foresters whose responsibilities are to oversee and manage the trimming of vegetation. To download the district map & contact numbers (PDF 78KB) and see who is responsible for hiring tree services in your district, go to:

They need to know if corners are being cut. Ultimately, we end up paying for it.skipamyParticipantThe 6580 FAQ says this about power outages:
Q: What happens to my thermostat settings if the power goes out in my home? A: Your thermostat stores its program schedule, user setup and customizations in permanent memory. So, no need to reset anything. When power is restored your thermostat will start operating automatically. – See more at: http://wifithermostat.com/Products/WiFi7DayThermostat/#sthash.DZOny4kc.dpuf
ebakerParticipantTrue, but skipamy installed the Honeywell RTH6580WF.
tortugaParticipantWhat what about the limbo of newer owners who have yet to be billed so have nothing to complain about?
allenParticipantNew ruling will bar some from receiving refunds
The Court has issued a ruling that has important implications for those affected by the fire tax. While we do not agree with the decision, the Judge has decided taxpayers who failed to file a Petition for Redetermination will not be eligible to receive a refund if the fire tax is declared unconstitutional.
If you filed a Petition for Redetermination, you are still eligible to receive a refund if our lawsuit is ultimately successful. If you have not filed a Petition for Redetermination, you can still claim a refund of future payments by filing a Petition when you receive your next bill.
Petitions must be filed within 30 days of the date on the bill. The necessary form and attachment, as well as instructions for completing and filing the form, can be found at our special website, FireTaxProtest.org.
Lawsuits can be long and drawn out processes. We expect at least one more billing before receiving a ruling on the merits of the case.
If we win, all taxpayers could be free from future fire tax bills. However, as a result of this decision, those who have not yet filed Petitions for Redetermination will not be able to recover money they already paid.
Visit FireTaxProtest.org, where you can read the latest news on the fight against the fire tax and download a Petition for Redetermination.

allenParticipant@skipamy – According to the user manual, the RTH8580WF has a coin battery for memory backup…….
allenParticipantYou can download the Honeywell RTH8580WF user manual here:
http://www.hi-sierra.com/pdf/Honeywell-RTH8580WF.pdftatonkaParticipantI installed a Bayweb unit several years ago. Works great.
skipamyParticipantHey phabib, I didn’t notice it was you. I’m your neighbor across the street (have met your wife and sons but not you yet). I’m pretty sure the Honeywell unit you got will be perfect, and that the button cell battery is only for powerfail backup.
skipamyParticipantI bought the Honeywell RTH6580WF which has no battery but relies on the C wire from the thermostat for power.
I believe, though I may be wrong, that the 8580 ALSO uses the C wire for power, and that the battery is only for backup in case of power failure. So I would guess that the 8580 is better than the 6580 that I installed.
Today, I set it up to email me when the cabin temp drops below 40. While doing that, I also saw that I can allow others to view the thermostat settings (i.e. the rental company that helps manage things) if I wish.
Regarding everik’s post about the Ecobee allowing you to set a password. I DO have to log into the Honeywell website to monitor and control the thermostat with a password. Now that I’ve changed the settings so the thermostat is ‘dumb’, I do not believe anyone can change them on the thermostat itself, unless they read the User’s Manual and know the special ‘secret’ multiple-button-push and code settings to re-set it.
