Yes, KCRA is usually good. However, like I said, I’ve never seen such a large discrepancy before… and then this morning KCRA reported that the DOW was down 94 points when actually it was up 23 (at that time). Maybe they had a computer hiccup.
I always rely on Mark Finan on KCRA TV. He’s batting about 999. He uses the computer model plus his brain. 🙂

The first and most important thing you must do is remove all galvanized pipe. If you are taking the time to re-plumb portions of your place, do it right and do it all.
If you don’t, trust me you will regret it.We didn’t get much snow yesterday but have you seen the forecast for Friday night?

Sorry this forum software is new to me also. There’s a feature called reply nesting that for some reason was causing posts to be out of order. I’ve disabled that feature for the time being.
It’s a glitch and can be very irritating. It seems to have something to do with editing a post but I’m not sure exactly what causes it. I think joe should fix it in his “free” time. 🙂
If you are having trouble logging in, have you answered the math question on the login form? It’s not calculus 🙂

Thanks again for all your work on this, it’s a valuable service to all of us in BTV. Some day I’d like to meet you and get a small sampling of what you go through to keep this site running. I consider myself moderately computer literate but find that as time goes by I am falling further behind.
I really appreciate the talent that goes into this type of venture.

I ask not to criticize Allen but if there’s a setting to check I want to make sure that I don’t do the same.
I talked with one of our long-term members today who said he was having trouble logging in. I just tried to send him an email using the address in the system and it got bounced back. If the system has an obsolete email address then the “lost my password” function won’t work.

joeOne of the things I like the most about the new website is that it is so much easier to maintain. Since the switch-over there have been several upgrades to the primary software package as well as other elements. Today, upon request (aka threat) from our web-host, I even upgraded to a new version of the computer language (PHP) that makes this whole thing work. All of these upgrades have been smooth, easy, and virtually unnoticeable from the outside.
OH, and we’re now over 14,500 automatically blocked spammers.
If I had had to change the version of the computer language with the old site it might have taken weeks to get it running and it would probably have resulted in switching to what we have now, just with a lot more frustration and down time!
