We are in the process of remodeling our family room and will be moving the replaced furniture to our cabin. This will free up an 8' couch, in good condition, with no tears in the upholstery and two brown corduroy recliners. The mechanisms are fine, the covers are a little worn. We have sheepskins over them but slipcovers would be fine. We would appreciate help in moving the furniture at the cabin, and will even deliver the furniture to you before I return the trailer. Timeframe is towards the end of October. If interested, contact me at Ottawa 3721@comcast.net. Thankyou.
AnonymousInactiveHi Joe,
Just want to make sure the Donate icon still works!
Appreciate all your hard work and dedication to this valuable site! Let me know, and I will donate today…and hopefully others as well.
Any type of wish list for equipment/costs you care to post???
Thanks!
btt_adminKeymasterYay!
Still lots of work to do but this is a big step forward!AnonymousInactiveSample page looks great Joe, thanks again for your hard work!
bigtreestechmanKeymasterif you want a sneak peek at what's going on in the development process…

Don't bother bookmarking that page. It will soon (hopefully) be gone.AnonymousInactiveThanks for all of the hard work and service you provide us with! Good luck – I will check back next week and see if there is a new site. Thanks – Pam
AnonymousInactiveOK, since Comcast does not get a lot of love here, I have to post my very positive experience. Since unfortunately we don't get up to Big Trees much lately, it's killed me to keep paying for Comcast to be sure we have cable when we DO get up there. Just called them today to inquire about costs involved to reconnect down the road if I choose to discontinue services. I was informed that Comcast just recently started a program to suspend services for people who leave the area for extended periods. It is $5 monthly to maintain your account and there is no additional re-connect fee when services are resumed. Minimum of 3 months required with (I believe) 6 months maximum but a phone call could extend that time. Wow, all those months of paying $75+ monthly and I didn't have to!!!! Bet this is good news to lots of people – the rep did say that this was in response to many customer requests…
bigtreestechmanKeymasterI made some good progress today
That's good news and bad news.
Good news because it means I'll be working on making the switch-over soon.
Bad News because to make the switch-over means shutting down the existing site and forum while I stumble through the process and debug problems that arise. If I'm lucky this will only take a few hours. If I'm not so lucky it could take a few days.Hopefully by the end of the weekend we'll have a new forum up and running, the Live From Dorrington snapshots will be running, and I hope to have 24 hour graphs of weather conditions available.
Things that might be broken:
You might have to request a new password. With the new system you will be given a password, not sure if you can set one yourself.
Current Conditions text may come later.
Forecast information will definitely come later, though I can easily provide a link.
Road Conditions will definitely come later, though here also, I can provide a link.
Formatting of the site will be an ongoing process for a while.bigtreestechmanKeymasterthey are replacing a pole on Kenshaw Way but so far we have not lost power. We're only a couple lots down from where they're working.
AnonymousInactivei got an email that our genset is running. anyone else have the power out?
AnonymousInactiveQuote:Yes, thanks for all your work. While I don't often comment,

Again thanks and good luck with the reincarnation.Gary..
ALL BTT Users!
While I am sure that Joe appreciates the words of thanks, he has just put a project on hold to move BTT to another platform and keep providing all of us with a communication medium we have come to depend on, or at least enjoy. He is doing this as a voluntary endeavor.I think anyone who would miss this site if it went away should move their cursor to the upper right corner on the site and click the Donate button and demonstrate their appreciation for Joe's hard work from the financial perspective….
bigtreestechmanKeymasterFYI, PG&E just showed up, up the road a bit and it looks like them may be replacing a pole. If updates stop happening it's probably because we lost power.
joeAnonymousInactiveThank you, Joe, for all your work on this great site! It's been tremendously helpful in multiple ways.
