joe,
I don’t see a good reason to object to the storage facility. Currently the land is vacant and looks like a fire hazard (on Google maps). We don’t have a decent RV storage facility up here now, and as far as I know this wouldn’t take away any business from Arnold. The storage facility in Arnold, Secured Self Storage RV & Boat, only a has few indoor RV storage units. Most of those storage units are for storing furniture and other household items.
If it were going to be a box store like Home Depot, Wal-Mart, etc., then I would do whatever necessary to stop it. If I’m missing something please post it.

PS. Attached are some photos of the plot and street view of where they want to build the storage facility.

jr.ParticipantA “warming fire” is allowed regardless of the conditions or if it is not a burn day.
tortugaParticipantNo photo, except in my mind, but saw a coyote trotting through SPI land behind Shoshone this morning. Healthy looking coat, fluffy and ready for a cold snowy winter
caleachParticipantWe have viewed the progress of the fixing up at the hotel for some time now. Does anyone know if the owner has commercial plans or has it been transformed into a personal residence?
caleachParticipantWe have a decorative one made of cast iron and the steam makes a big difference. A regular pot would probably work too.
Never came close to being concerned about too much moisture.
allenParticipanttortuga, we just want to get our burning started during the daylight hours. Once it’s burning, we’re not too worried about how cold it is.
JDParticipantWe have a decorative steamer/pot on top of the wood stove. It makes a significant difference with dry skin, breathing, warmer feel, etc and we have had no issue with mold. Yes, I believe a cook pot would suffice, but something more decorative is simply nice.
tortugaParticipantallen- once you get the fire going, it’s pretty toasty outside. But yeah, we were itching to start at 530 when it was pitch black and COLD enough already!
lostbruceParticipantAnyone use a wood stove steamer to help with dry air in the winter time? I saw some decorative ones but, I am assuming a regular pot of water would do the same thing. I am guessing you would have to boil off a lot of water to create mold issues. Any experiences?
allenParticipantBeen here since ’94 and this is the first time I can remember night burning in the fall. It’s always been night burning in late spring in the past. I think the person or people in charge of burning took too many of these pills:

It’s a whopping 30 or so degrees outside now at 7:00 pm.

SkipParticipantHow do you find this information?
SkipParticipantThanks for the updates. I may stick to lower elevations.
tortugaParticipantTonight! after 7PM!
Currently burning allowed 7PM-8AM subject to air quality. Yesterday no burning, tonight it’s a go!
caleachParticipantSigned.
