As of 7:15am, the highway was still closed at Arnold.
If you’re not already up here, don’t come.

At 4:15pm this afternoon my son made it to our cabin on Indian Rock in Dorrington. He was stopped by the CHP at the Moran road closure. But they allowed him to pass through the closure to get to Dorrington. He has power, att land line and Comcast all working.

Google Maps is also showing the full Hwy 4 closure starting at Blue Lake Springs.
I have also heard that the closure has moved down to the Red Apple below Hathaway Pines.

Road and snow conditions up here in Dorrington are ridiculous!

We are currently booked for seasonal contracts but are available for one shots for the 2021-2022 season. If you are wanting a contract next year I suggest calling in August and September and getting contracts in before we fill up. We’d love to take everyone but can’t. Sorry for the inconvenience.
    Thanks,

Abbott is no longer doing residential snow removal business. The two remaining services, that I know of, are Greg Chess Snow Removal 209-890-7584 and Snider with contact information noted in the above thread.
