I a on Karock, down at the bottom and keep getting texts from PG&E delaying the restoration of power. It’s now slated for 5PM today. Must be pretty bad up there.

My place is near the intersection of Wikami and Kenshaw and I am experiencing the same issue – PG&E website says no power outage, but I am unable to connect to my cameras or thermostat. I also tried to call my cabin and it rang and rang, but the answering machine did not pick up. I have a feeling the power is still out.

Thank you Sandi. Your slide show helps us low-landers understand why it’s taking so long for the power to be restored. Hasn’t been this way for several years. Keep up the good work.

I am in the 3000 block of Shoshone. I also got a text saying PG&E is back on. We have 2 Nest cameras and as of right now they are both still down. Hope to find them both running in the morning.

When I was there on Saturday (on Chumash) our Comcast went out. I called them and they didn’t have any reports of outages, but said snow on the lines was probably the cause. I left as soon as our driveway was plowed and didn’t get around to trying to clear the snow off the cable.

Our place is on Shoshone Dr by Sierra Parkway closest to Highway 4. I have the same issue where I can’t connect to Nest or Locks so I am wondering if Comcast is up and running? Any full timers having an issue with Comcast?

Our place is on Kenshaw – pge says power is back, but I don’t see my Nest thermostat. Possibly Comcast is down, or the problem is on my end.

    Thanks and stay safe!

Big Trees Village is trying to tally what streets are in what condition. If you’re on Facebook, go here: https://www.facebook.com/BigTreesVillage/posts/1216118565091895

If not, email manager@bigtreesvillage.org about what streets you have driven and what the conditions are.

We gave up, Staying at Murphys Inn Motel..

Tree went down in front of our house, pulled out the PGE wires.

Will check each day and see if any repair.

We just got home to the Bay Area from out CC cabin. Roads leaving Meko/Ottawa area were one lane with a foot of fresh snow on top at 1100 this morning. I love our county plow folks and know they do the best they can, but their equipment can only move snow from one area to another part of the street. With no blowers (that I’ve ever seen), they scrap the snow into a berm, only to have it fall down behind them (except for the occasional drive way to plug up).

Hiway 4 going down had lots of downed trees on the side of the road all the way to Arnold, then the rain started and the roads were clear of snow.

Did see over 20 PG&E trucks either going up Hiway 4 or staged in the BTV Market parking lot. Oh, and one lone Comcast truck…. Best of luck and safety to those folks. That’s gotta be tough work.

I received a text from PG&E this morning saying that in our area in unit 3 they expect it to be fixed by 2:30 pm.
