Aghhh! Every year that BVSR remains with the current ownership, the needed upgrades and repairs are deferred. There's no upside for a buyer if the purchase is for BVSR only, which is huge profit risk. Including the already limited village improvement sweetens the deal. If the potential new owners can always contract out the construction and management of the expansion project to a developer but retain ownership. The county should be offering any/all tax credits available.
In my opinion, our property values & already super depressed local economy will remain low without a change in BVSR ownership and the much needed improvements.

joeFound it,fixed it. We had a bad combination of webserver issues, and isolated power outage (a cat turned off the UPS I think).
Anyway, it looks like everything is working again

joeLooks like some of the posts were lost in this thread when the database crashed. NorCal, if those jerks come around here I think I will get them on my surveillance system. You must have barely missed them on your camera when they took your flags. I've got eight cameras so there's only a couple of "dead spots" here and you have to know exactly where they are and which way to come up to get to the dead spots or else you're on Candid Camera.
Anyone else notice Comcast has been down every afternoon for the past three days? I just don't know what I would do if Comcast had a competitor up here.
I have a Bushnell HD color, I think it might be called the trophy cam. I think there are quite a few different cameras that work equally well.
I saw a mountain lion today. I was riding my bike on my way back from the river on Boards Crossing Rd at about 5:30 PM. It was jogging in the left side of the road before it heard me and ran off into the brush. I made my ride home in record time! Very cool to have finally seen one not stuffed or in a zoo.
Just heard that the deal in the works to buy Bear Valley is off as the prospective buyer has terminated the purchase contract….

I don't know when it happened but I do know that it crashed one of the site data bases so any messages that were posted from approximately 11AM 9/4 until now (about 4:40PM 9/5) have been lost. feel free to re-post.

I'm not sure. I looked at the CCWD rate schedule starting September 1, 2013 and I was paying $79.00 "base" every billing cycle (two months) which is of course $39.50 a month. According to the rate schedule, a 5/8" main will have a monthly "base" rate of $49.38. A 3/4" main will have a monthly "base" rate of $74.06. You can look at the rate schedule here:

Don't forget the address sign 3265. If it's 3265 Shoshone Drive like I think it is, that's somewhat in the middle of BTV. These "kids" must have a car or truck. The lawn jockey is very heavy and clumsy.
