Thanks, MikebigtreestechmanKeymasterfyi, the few trail guides that I put together a few years ago may be going off line soon. Over the course of time a number of maintenance issues have arisen and the most recent my result in breaking to many things to go back and fix.
Also, a great place to get some trail information and more about hiking groups is SNAC.
joecheyenne26ParticipantI’ve made a promise to myself to explore more of the countryside near hwy 4 this year. I’m mostly interested in day trips and hopefully to lakes/streams for some fishing. I’ve seen Joe’s videos for a couple of the trails but there must be more. Can anyone point me to their favorite guide that is specific to our region?
Also, I seem to remember folks from this forum getting together for some day hikes. I’m game for joining the group if that works out.
Thanks,

FlyfishrParticipantWent to go for dinner on Saturday night and saw it was dark. Really sad – I always enjoyed dinners there. Getting to be pretty slim pickings for restaurants in the area.
rswheeler1ParticipantI talked to Bill at the sporting goods store on Saturday. He said the same thing with about 3′ of snow on the road. He also said there is 4′ of snow ON lake Alpine and 7′ of snow at Mosquito Lake. He’s working on a new web site, http://www.ebbettspasssportinggoods.com. If you click on Fishing Reports he will have info on all the local lakes, but the web site isn’t running yet.
chipmunkParticipantThe road down to Spicer is still closed as of Sunday the 13th
bigtreestechmanKeymasterBummer! I’d been to Simply Delicious several times recently and the food and music was always good. Apparently they closed their doors this past week.
Rumor has it that the property and liquor license are up for sale.allenParticipantThanks for the info.

They do very good work
RebeccaMParticipantHi Big Trees folks,
We are looking for someone to install tile in our cabin bathroom. Please let me know if you have used anyone local successfully.
Thanks
RebeccaguyoParticipantI heard that they were shooting for an Easter weekend opening.
cmon4dayParticipantShould be soon. I was backcountry skiing yesterday and hit the highway at Cape Horn and the road was plowed and dry as can be. It was clear all the way back to the gate before Lake Alpine.
