The county road department contracted with the cal-fire hand crews to clear brush from the streets to aid the snowplowing effort.

Haven’t been up in a few weeks. I was surprised to see that someone has cleared all the street side brush on the entire street. I’ve been here for a few years, I don’t recall ever seeing this before. I guess it’s nice that someone did this … but they were a bit aggressive on hacking away and ripped out what I thought was some very nice and mature natural vegetation in my yard, that wasn’t encroaching on the street nor the gutter zones. Any comments?

I just downloaded my pics for the last couple months and captured some great photos of a bear, bobcat, coyote, and fox.

Just before we moved from Arnold to Big Trees Village I thought I might start a website for Big Trees weather much like my friend had for Arnold weather. The move was followed by the usual time consuming fix up and decorating at the new place and a website went on the back burner. Then I found Big Trees Tech and figured I didn’t need to do the site! My domain bigtreesweather.com is about to expire. I will let it expire unless someone is interested in having it. Once it expires it might be grabbed by one of the companies that charge an arm and a leg to purchase a domain name so I thought I would ask here if anyone has interest in it before the expiration. Let me know ASAP.

I have a hunch it will be after we have a couple of more good rain or snow storms. I have a lot of stuff to burn myself but I guess it will have to remain covered for now. 🙁
