    From MyMotherLode.com

Arnold, CA – Calaveras County Water District (CCWD) wants to alert customers to a planned overnight water shutdown next week that could affect their taps.

The planned water outage is scheduled from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Wednesday, November 9 through Thursday, November 10 to minimize customer impact. While customers living on the lower portions of the system may experience no impacts, those living on the higher portions of the system, like Big Trees Village and Dorrington, may experience little to no water pressure or water disruptions, according to district officials.

I just purchased a new 2016 Subaru 2 weeks ago. Cables are fine, chains are not.

We had an opossum in our attic in the Bay Area which was too smart to let itself be trapped. After talking to a wildlife rescue person this is what worked for us. They don’t like light, so we put a bright work light up there, on 24/7. They also are sensitive to strong smells so we sprayed a strong smelling house cleaning product around up there too. The opossum left of its own accord for somewhere more hospitable!

I’m not in Big Trees now- but going up tonight. THere are no power failures at our place on Iroquois- you can sign up with PG&E to get text message updates in case there is a power failure.

I believe that the newer Subaru’s do not allow for any tyoe of chains or cables as there is not enough clearance. We have purchased 5 subaru’s over the years and just love them. The only tires I changed out were on my STI and that was summer tires off in the winter because the summer tires were racing tires and not so good in wet weather! Anyone driving in the snow should know that anything over 35 mph is asking for trouble..just ask my husband who rolled our Suburban a few years back near cabbage patch on black ice…drove it home…but still, he was doing 45, not good.
