ParticipantI was thinking of making the Ebbetts Pass to Sonora loop this week end. Any one know if I am to early or to late, just right to see the fall colors?
Thanksgrizcoach
ParticipantDepends on what size is your dog, but I used 4×4 PT posts and the fencing was a green wire fence. It disappears when it’s in the shade and looks nice in the sun. Got a 4′ tall roll at Home Depot. My dog is pretty athletic but she hasn’t jumped the fence.

ParticipantThe Design and Use guideline that was referenced to does allow for the use of fences for dog runs:
10. Fences. To retain the natural beauty of the community and allow wildlife movement across and
through Lots, fences need to be limited to dog runs and not serve as lot boundaries. These pet
fences should be constructed of transparent and not privacy screening materials.Since there is not size restriction, you should be good. Just make it from a transparent material, buy which they must mean something like a picket fence that has an appropriate spacing for your dog.

KeymasterThat link leads to a statement that the CC&Rs are due to expire in 2016 and have been replaced by the board with a set of Design and Use Guidelines. It is my understanding that these Design and Use Guidelines are non-binding.
If anyone knows of a legal means by which the CC&Rs could be made enforceable upon BTV home owners, please explain.caleach

ParticipantI recall something about fencing the yard as being prohibited by the CC&Rs for BTV, but can’t put my hands on a copy of the CC&Rs. Does anyone know where I can get a copy of those? I’d like to be able to fence in less than 25% of my sideyard in order to have some safe space for my older dog to hang out in when the weather is nice. She is now deaf so an invisible fence system won’t work and I can’t ever let her off of her leash for fear that she might wander out into the street and not hear a car coming down Indian Rock Rd. Any information or ideas would be most welcome. Thanks,

ParticipantMy medium sized, black, short-haired and athletic build dog – Sheila – escaped on Saturday from our cabin on Karock Rd. She is friendly but wary of strangers. She is wearing a white/green/pink floral patterned collar with a large dog-tag style tag that has our bay area and Dorrington contact information. She seems to have been roaming around as far east as Camp Connel gas station, back west to Boards Crossing, and around Snowshoe lake. Up until this morning 5am we have not been able to find her and had to drive back down to the bay area. If anyone sees her, or is able to catch her and keep her safe – we will drive up as soon as we know where she is. Please call us on 510-6859546. Thank you!!! Christa Roemkens

ParticipantWas at White Pines Lake and noticed that the water level was very low. Most of the lake bed next to the softball field had no water. Was the lake used for water to fight the Butte Fire?

KeymasterYeah! I got the camera back up and running. Looks like I screwed up the mounting somehow so I’ll have to fix that shortly.

KeymasterSeeing some funny looking pictures in the “Live From Dorrington” area? I’ve been troubleshooting the problem I’ve been having with one of the cameras and this was the final step in confirming that the camera is A-Okay.
The problem seems to be that power outages have fried a 2nd Ethernet to WiFi adapter rendering the camera unreachable by the information server. A new one is on order so hopefully the camera will be back on line in the next day or two.

ParticipantYou might try Brian, The Tree Whisperer. He lives in Arnold 795-7332. His prices are very reasonable, but I wonder if all the tree guys are busy with fire cleanup.

ParticipantPG&E took down a VERY LARGE white Fir for us. They did an excellent job, but now I have lot of rounds and logs of White Fir.
This is located by our driveway at 1020 Yuroc, .BTV
Anyone interested let me know or just come over and pick some up.
