Does anyone have a recommendation for a person that might do a cabin-closing (drain pipes for winter)?

I talked to a CalFire guy this morning about 8:30. He said they are reducing the staff assigned to the fire. I saw at least 100 fire trucks and related equipment going down the mountain this morning about 8:30. Actually, this is good news. There’s a staging area in San Andreas that had about 50 PG&E trucks. The CalFire guy said, “There are more of them than us.” In San Andreas I saw two trucks loaded with power poles. I didn’t see which way they were going.
Scott on Hoopa Circle and happy to be here.

I would like the TV. I can pick it up anytime this weekend. Let me know if that will work. Thanks

Everything on the Hwy 4 Corridor is now off of the advisory evacuation list:
    http://cdfdata.fire.ca.gov/incidents/incidents_details_info?incident_id=1221

Ummm except “All areas outside the fire perimeter.” is a bit over the top ambiguous… Does that include Nome, Alaska? I think it does. They are, after all, outside the fire perimeter.

I think it’s great that they’ve done so much to deal with the fire, but their information dissemination for this incident has been horrible IMHO.

I have a 42″ flat screen plasma TV. Its a Panasonic (TH-42PD50U), in great shape and works well. I also have the remote and stand for it. It is not HD, but has a great picture and a built in HD tuner to downconvert HD signals.

Free to the first person who is interested in coming and getting it! Will be here through the weekend so send me a message if you are interested.

Verizon calls them ‘network extenders’ and they started working again once Verizon bought Golden State. I bought mine from Verizon and it works great! So nice to have good cell reception again.

I believe that now that Verizon has taken over the old Golden State Cellular territory, verizon microcells will work in our area. A rental house down the street where our daughter stayed a while back had one and it worked great.

I remember that verizon microcells did not work before is that not the case any more? What brand and model does anyone recommend?

FYI this afternoon a south wind has kicked up… not good for the fire but it’s blowing all the smoke away from Dorrington.

Air quality depends completely on wind speed and direction. At the moment it’s fine up in BTV.
