It’s been way too long since I sanded and re-sealed my redwood deck. Going to try and tackle that job next week before the rains starts in earnest. What product are people using that holds up well? Thanks!

Thanks for the recommendation. I have gotten firewood from them in the past. Almond was great for the fireplace. Although they still list “Firewood” on their web site, I spoke to them a few days ago and they are not delivering firewood– at least right now.
    Thanks again,
    Gary

In my experience, oak is harder to find up on the mountain. But you can get almond/walnut hardwood from Lionudakis down in the valley. At least they used to deliver up to Big Trees: http://www.lionudakis.com/

Does anyone have a good recent recommendation for Firewood? I am looking for seasoned Oak. I see a lot of signs for firewood, but most are not Oak.
    Thanks

I have an Airens snowblower that is fairly new, but I would like to have it serviced before the snow comes this year. Does Jodie do service on snowblowers and would you recommend him to do so? Having someone come to my house to do it would be great!
    Thanks,
    Gary

Over the last 10 years, Val Garringer (209-728-0158) has painted our cabin twice. His crews also seal redwood decking and railings. Very professional, high quality work.

Agree. Kevin Dye also painted our cabin and did an excellent job.

Had our cabin painted by Kevin Dye a few years back. Excellent job. Kevin even drove me around looking at colors of other cabins. Very nice guy.

Can anyone recommend a painter. My place could use some TLC.

I removed the posts regarding Abbot’s at the request of the original poster. Apparently there was erroneous, or at least unsubstantiated information being spread (aka Fake News)

What happened to Abbotts’s Snow Removal and what happened to the other posts as gagacabin mentioned?

What happened to the other posts on here? Some are missing, or is it just me?

Along this line, last winter for the first time, the snow blower/plow service we use (won’t mention any names as the service has always been excellent) ground deeply into our concrete driveway in spots. Does everyone use similar equipment or are some machines more prone to do this kind of damage than others? Would like to retain the attractive “stamped” surface on our drive if possible.
