Red Store very helpful and gave me the name and number of a mason who does chimney repairs.
Still playing phone tag with Ash away. I know they are busy with the weather turning nice. I’ll keep trying

Someone left behind their 3pin backcountry skis at 7N09. Anyone up there yesterday or today and missing your skis? They are still there.

I’ve got 3 mattresses I need to get rid of but the dump at Avery won’t take them. They say they need to go to Copperopolis. Is anyone making a run down there who would be willing to take them down there? I’d be happy to pay to be rid of them.
    Thanks,

Thanks mtndad. Since I had to make a decision because of the upcoming weekend I called Arnold Automotive. Very friendly. Diagnosed it as a CV joint/boot issue. Should be able to make it back home. I appreciate your suggestion and will keep them in mind in the future.

Any suggestions for auto repair in Arnold? I have a 2009 Subaru Outback with a severe oil leak that does not appear to be engine oil. Thanks.

My niece is from Murphys and teaches at an inner city school in Oakland. Every year she takes her 8th graders for a “graduation” trip up to Big Trees and the area. For most, it’s the first time they’ve ever camped. For many, it’s the first time they’ve left Oakland. For all of them, it’s a life changing experience. She’s raising money to bring kids this May. If you can, please make a contribution to help these kids experience our backyard. Details below- thank you!

To Calaveras County Family and Community,

Thanks to your generosity, we have raised 40% of our goal for the 8th Grade Retreat. To date, I have collected $450. And, my students are I are beyond grateful. Thank you!

To update on our financial situation at Life Academy, district funds (which had been only partially frozen when I reached out in February) are now completely frozen. So, my students and I are now even more thankful for your contributions.

Again, I am writing to ask for your financial support for two parts of the trip. Here are our immediate needs:
Moaning Caverns on 5/31 (Cave Tour and Climbing Tour) – $641.00
    SNAC Rentals on 6/2 (10 SUPs) – $464.40
In order for this money to go directly to the needs listed above, the financial contributions will need to come directly to me. PLEASE MAKE CHECKS OUT TO ME. I apologize for not having a way at this time to give you a tax deductible receipt. BUT, here are my promises to you. If you are able to send a check, I will:
Take a picture of the check when I receive it, and send it to you
Email you when the check has been deposited
Email you a picture of the receipt from both Moaning Caverns and SNAC
Email you photos of our students on the 2017 retreat — Or, you can even come meet us, if you’d like!
If you are able, please send checks to:
Life Academy of Health and Bioscience
    ATTN: Eva Oliver
    2101 35th Avenue
    Oakland, CA 94601

Please email me or my school’s principal, Aryn Bowman with any questions that you have. Emails are below.

IMPORTANT — If you have sent me a check and I have NOT responded with a picture of the check, please email me immediately as I want to remedy the problem ASAP.

    Thank you again,

Yes, the post office is moving BACK to Dorrington, where it started years ago. I think this is a much more central location for both pedestrian and vehicle traffic. Welcome back! .. 😉

We are not losing the post office. It’s just moving across highway 4, next to the Lube Room.
