I think you will find that arnoldweather.org is not very accurate for Dorrington. At 8:00pm it showed the temp to be 47 degrees when it was +/-39 degrees.
Whereas https://www.wunderground.com/ (big trees village) shows 38.7 degrees.

The forum is NOT going away!! What delightful news. (I hope it’s not fake news!) The forum would have been sorely missed and neither of the two alternatives were going to be able to take its place. Thank you Techman! 🙂

Two 1998 Touring E tandem (2-person) Skidoos, former Bear Valley rentals, both serviced about 2 years ago, both with electric start and good batteries, one of them doesn’t start this year, some spare parts and equipment included, DMV registered until 2018.
Trailer has good tires and a spare wheel with tire which has never been used. 1 7/8″ ball needed for towing.
    $700 OBO for all

everik The tree fallers had a Boo Boo. Torn down power lines for sure and I’m guessing on Comcast they must of got it to. PG&E is now on site.

    From Mymotherlode.com

Camp Connell, CA: PG&E reports that 50 customers in the Camp Connell area of Calaveras County off Highway 4 are without electricity.

A crew is on the scene, which includes those along Hokan and Pomo circles, assessing the situation with no cause determined as of yet. The comany has posted a 1:45 p.m restoration time

    Hi All,
Looks like we’ve lost connection to our cameras, heater control and weather station.
    We’re on Hokan Circle.
    Another power and/or Comcast outage?
    Thanks!

We had bobcat a week or so ago. Walked across the front porch, then down into the driveway onto Shoshone. Also, had a coyote walk across the driveway, was kinda fun to watch as it slipped on the ice and slid a bit.
I for one am sure going to miss this forum. Love it.

This same cat just walked by our place on Yuroc Dr. Looks like a young bobcat – tail looks longer than your typical bobcat.

Check the Calaveras County Surveyor’s Office.
    http://publicworks.calaverasgov.us/Surveyor.aspx

Looks like you can get a copy of your lot map. I had the same issue (identifying boundary to know whose lot the dead trees were on. I was able to find the iron markers, they stick up off the ground. Probably not able to find them in the snow, but should be able to find the with the map once the snow melts.

Contact a local land surveyor who is familiar with your area. There should be a small, square iron pin driven into the ground at each corner. If you have a metal detector…you might get lucky. 😉
