ParticipantWe don’t spend enough weekends in Dorrington to enjoy the spa that came with our cabin, so we are giving away the tub. It’s a 2004 CalSpa with 4 seats. A spa does feel amazing especially when it’s cold outside and you are surrounded by snow.
Pictures are attached. It’s sold as-is and you’ll need to move it yourself.
The motor and heater are in excellent condition. With the cover on it retains heat surprisingly well. The cover is in good condition and there is a spare for some reason. The filters need to be replaced and several of the jets (approx $10 each online) need to be replaced. The pillows are showing age and will probably need to be replaced within a year.
It was bought from Hibernation Spas in Arnold.

ParticipantIt’s Aleon, not Allen. One “L” and an “O” in the name. 🙂

ParticipantThanks for the report, Guyo – we’re abandoning the idea of snowshoeing in favor of a hike in Big Trees or elsewhere.
Fingers crossed that we get some significant snow, soon.
OTOH, I’m tempted to start the yard clearing now. 🙂
Cheers!

ParticipantAfter reviewing my notes:
C21 and Teri were/had the best cabins of who/what we saw. ‘Best’ to us meant clean and well-outfitted with kitchen supplies. We weren’t looking for fancy interiors or flatscreens.DonFry had the not-well-kept cabins.
Coldwell/Action failed to meet us as planned so ability to be professional seemed in doubt.
Barry Ward was late to reply to inquiries, we never saw their offerings. Agent was professional and apologetic about missed/slow reply and followed up to make sure we had closed a lease and were no longer in need.
Other agencies never responded: might not deal with season leases?

ParticipantWe started renting in mid 2012, so have a year and a half under our belt (using Century 21). Issues have been relatively small (spots on rug, missing items such as laundry basket, dog dishes) but renters for the most part have been good. If you’re a picky person, you won’t like it. Dishes/bowls/pots/utensils are in a different cupboard every time you come up. If you’re a distrustful person, you won’t like it because you’ll worry about people running off with stuff. But I trust people for the most part, and have gotten used to the little problems. The upside is extra $$, which we’ve used in part to upgrade (new TV, DVD, blankets, bedspreads) over time to make the cabin more inviting and cozy. Tax-wise, part of the maintenance/repair/utility costs can be taken from the income. And, getting good reviews from guests about their stay at your cabin is satisfying.

ParticipantI’ve seen two very shy deer near our home in Unit 3. Great photo of the fox – thanks for sharing.

ParticipantSo with the weather so warm for so long, I was wondering if a crazy man could bring a kayak to Lake Union. Would I find a frozen lake or open water? And any idea of the condition of the road?
TIA,
Carl

ParticipantDang. Ok. Anybody been to Spicer lately? …same question as ‘dpalme’ (my better half).
