My wife Sandy & I discovered Big Trees Village in 1980, bought our lot in 1985, and built the home in 1987. We framed it ourselves with help from family members, especially my then 16 year old oldest son Mike. Subbed out grading, foundation, sheetrock & roof. One brother did most of plumbing. We have loved it here ever since. Don't love the snow as much as we get older, but still need to get out of the East Bay summer heat.
