Thanks for the refs, I’ll call them this week.

Anyone care to share a ballpark cost? are we looking at $200 or $1000? I realize there are lots of variables in the job and I’ll soon hear from the contractors, but I’m wondering what is the price range for lopping off some trees so my poor heart isn’t shocked.

If it may fall and take out a PG&E line they will take it out at no cost to you. I had a dead pine removed by them and ended up with 2+ cords of fire wood for free

Speaking of water heaters: Where/who would you recommend purchasing/installing a new water heater?

We have a double trunked pine tree that we’re thinking needs to be removed, each trunk is 18inch diameter or so. Who do we call to bid the job? What’s the ballpark we should expect for this work?

    Thanks!

I have experienced the same thing in the past, in BTV, and it’s really an awesome event to witness. Never quite new what generated the phenomenon.

I’m using Blue Host too and there are a lot of complaints on Twitter; mostly because of lack of updates and no apology. Oh well, life goes on…..

BigTreesTech, and thousands of other sites, went down for a couple hours today. Our web host went completely off line for a while.
Hopefully the problems are all resolved.

Ditto on the thermocouple. FYI, a thermocouple is a safety device that detects heat from the pilot light. In case the pilot light goes out, the gas supply will be shut off. On the other hand, a defective thermocouple will also shut off the gas supply once you quit holding the button down.
