I tried to go to the bigtreesvillage web site mentioned above but my Microsoft Security software gave me the following message on a bright red screen:
“Microsoft Security Essentials blocked content on this website
    crdttgo.org
    Hosted by: bigtreesvillage.org
Microsoft Security Essentials blocked this site because it might contain threats to your PC or your privacy. ”

Just curious if anyone knows what the “crdttgo.org” site is and is it safe?

I’m looking into AAA. If they can insure the place, it would be only for the market value, no upgrades. The place was built in 1953 so that would be OK.

NOTICE TO BIG TREES VILLAGE PROPERTY OWNERS

The Big Trees Village Property Owners Association will be coordinating the lot inspections for Cal Fire this year. Inspections of all developed lots in BTV will be inspected starting June 2. Property owners should have all fire prevention clean-up completed (or under contract with a qualified contractor) no later than June 1. Requirements are spelled out on the Cal Fire web site which can be accessed through the Fire Prevention page on the BTV website at http://www.bigtreesvillage.org.

The Association is looking to fill several inspector slots for this year. If you are interested in helping in this very important work please contact the POA Manager at (209) 795- 1971 or e-mail at manager@bigtreesvillage.org for further information.

Maybe AAA covered our place in BTV because we have two houses and two cars insured with them.

CSAA, our flatlands insurer, would not insure us in the mountains, but they brokered a deal with another insurer – Burns&Wilcox. Their quote was about the same as a broker in Angels Camp that our real estate agent referred us to and less than other quotes from flatlands brokers.

Thanks for the info. I hate to leave State Farm but we might have to. Or we might not get the other place in Dorrinton. Decisions, decisions…..

We’ve had AAA since about 1985. Many insurers, like GEICO, USAA, will not cover BTV because they consider it a “brush” area.

We had a heck of a time finding insurance, too, when we bought three years ago. We ended up with Liberty Mutual. They lucked out and got all of our other business. Sorry Allstate……

Awww, sorry to hear the piano met with an unhappy confluence of weather and health. It has provided us with much merriment and curiosity and speculation.

Apparently the owner of the truck & piano is having some mental issues and is with his parents in Pennsylvania at the present time.

Just came up and went by and wanted to get a couple items. They are closed with no sign. Was this an issue for today, or has it been closed earlier than today?

Allen, it’s in the 1st Sherman Acres winter parking area if you’re traveling up the hill. I’ve been meaning to ask at work in BV if anyone knows anything.
