Thanks!!carlshomeParticipantWe are thinking of going up tomorrow (Wed Aug 1st). How is the smoke??
ndamicoParticipanthoping the conditions improve for this coming weekend!
airedogParticipantTwo Husky dogs spotted today near 3500 Shoshone. The smaller female went towards Mueretta’s Roost and male towards Pocatello Circle.
jr.ParticipantMornings tend to be hazy, depending on the wind direction, but have not been smoky per se. if you don’t have AC, as most do not, bring up a box fan, set it in an upstairs window, and it will force out the warm air out of the hous. We did that last night, and it was Very comfortable. A cheap box fan acts like a whole house fan. Works! Close the house up in the am. It works! Nature’s AC. Enjoy your days in and around water. The temps at the alpine lakes should be perfect.
KumaParticipantHeaded up this weekend the 27th
how bad is the smoke in Arnold this week?LogsParticipantDo you remember how much they charge?
AZbunchParticipantThanks everyone for your input…played it safe and stayed home. Hopefully things clear up soon…
caleachParticipantAs far as I know all theology that are long and marked with an R are to be removed under the debris management program of PG&E. It just takes a little while since they are slammed. If they down a tree on your property don’t cut it up into smaller lengths thinking you are doing anyone a favor. If they are smaller than what they normally pick up they might just leave them.
caleachParticipantI have used ACE with good results as well.

michelle sParticipantThis (Saturday) morning is clear and cool, fortunately! No weird reddish sky or smoke around. Supposed to be not as hot today, too.

The smoke has been very bad. Early AM in Big Trees, you can barley see across the street.
Smoke will clear and the return.
AZbunchParticipantI’m coming up tomorrow with 2 sensitive family members. Is there any issue with smoke from the fires around the area? Thanks!!
