Got to our place on Chumash around 730 am Saturday. Meko and Shoshone had been plowed, Chumash not so much. Probably around a foot of snow On chumash. With the low snow levels, I understand that it puts county resources to the limit.
bigtreestechmanKeymasterBe careful driving in Big Trees Village! Unfortunately there are a few thoughtless, inconsiderate people up here who have parked in the middle of the street while they attempt to dig out driveways, parked overnight in the street blocking the snow plows form widening the road, dug out their driveways and piled the snow in the middle of the road, drive too fast without adequate traction, etc, etc.
Oh, and please don’t be one of those people who does any of the above!bigtreestechmanKeymasterWe had way more snow last year!
A temporary link to the snow depth measurement data is in the first article on the front page of the site.gagacabinParticipantWow. How much did we have last year? I know this doesn’t sound very smart, but where do I find this snow depth thing on this site?
bigtreestechmanKeymasterYep, it did. We now have over 2ft on the ground in Dorrington and more on the way.

bigtreestechmanKeymasterpower went out for a 10 – 15 minutes and just came back on around 5:30pm or so.
caleachParticipantMy camera is out again, anyway of telling of it’s PG&E or comcast?
Steve
mtndadParticipantIf you want credit from Comcast for the 36 hour outage, I suggest you call 1-800-934-6489 and talk to an agent. It took about 20 minutes to get through.
She said the credits come automatically, in all the years with Comcast, I always had to call to get credit.
Be patient and good luck.
bigtreestechmanKeymasterThe roads by our place, Kenshaw and Wikami, have been plowed and there’s only a couple inches of fresh snow on them.
BootstrapParticipantLooks like chains are required from Arnold on up…so we might have to be our own “snow plows” for a while… 😉
lostbruceParticipantHow have the plows been doing with keeping up with the snow? Im sure the roads in BTV aren’t clear but are they “passable”?
Thanks
bigtreestechmanKeymasterIt’s extremely unlikely that we will get those max levels on any one day let alone on all the days.
caleachParticipantJoe,
I got these numbers by going to the forecast tab on this site and adding up the highest potential snow fall accumulation numbers.
clutz003ParticipantI have seen projections for up to 80”, but that is at pass levels.
bigtreestechmanKeymasternot sure where you are looking but that sounds excessive. can you provide a link?
