    This is what I understand:

Taxes are deductible, Fee’s which this is, are not deductible.

On your bill it is “Fire Prevention FEE”

    Confirm with your accountant.

jr, at the risk the IRS reading this forum, I write off my fire fee, it’s a property tax no matter how it got passed.

I can only hope that some of the tax is actually going to fire prevention.

Tack it onto PG&E’s bill for the Butte Fire.

Yes, I received the first of 3 fire tax notices yesterday, as well. So now, on top of income taxes, 3 property taxes, 3 fire taxes, and a host of other annual payments due in April, it’s going to be tight. Does anyone write theirs off for income tax purposes? Just wondering.

    We didn’t have a fire all winter…

I’m still not sure what benefit we get from this. It seems perhaps this provides a lot of administration salaries and not much tangible result in the field.

I favor arnoldweather.org as a format as well. It does not require Flashplayer for starters. I like the format. Still, I love to see the latest Forum subjects to keep up with what is currently on folks minds. Your web cams are awesome as our home is near yours, so we have a pretty good idea what to expect when we arrive.
I’m certain you have plenty of weather site suggestions. Well, here is my 2 cents worth. There is a weather site I like to use because it lists Camp Connell, CA as one of it’s locations, http://www.intellicast.com. It offers a 10 day forecast and has links to a number of local weather stations with their approximate location on a map.
We have been and are extremely grateful for BigTreesTech and the effort that you have put in to keep it going.
A BIG THANK YOU from us.

    Best news I’ve heard today.
Alternative for weather, and a couple of camera images, is http://bigtreeshome.com/
Going by their lat/long, it looks like they are near Dardanelle Vista and Shastan Way.

I am not suggesting use of the data from either of the arnoldweather pages (unless you are in Arnold).

I would like to know what you think about the information content and presentation.
