Camp ConParticipant
Also, be sure to shop around for the engineering part of the plans. Some engineering firms can be very expensive- which I discovered.
Camp ConParticipantThe same thing happened to me, except for the nosy neighbor part. Mine was deck built without a permit by a former owner. Bottom line, the county is looking to sponge-up money any and every way possible.
allenParticipantI built a 10 x 10 deck and my nosy neighbor with a cabin that looks like crap called the county and complained. The inspector thought the deck was well built and met all codes. However, his boss called me and said I need to get a permit. So that means I need my deck engineered and some plans submitted. Any suggestions for an engineer and getting plans drawn?
Thanks,
allenAs for my neighbor, I don’t get mad. I get even.
bayrunnerParticipantAnybody know whatever happened with the plan to cut down trees to the south of Big Trees to re-establish the fire break between SPI land and Big Trees? The trees are all painted red and yellow but I haven’t heard anyone cutting yet..
gagacabinParticipantThank you Sierrashoo, that worked. I should have noticed that option.
itsleahParticipantVery cool!!
SierrashooParticipantGaga – just open it as a “Guest” user
jandmParticipantOver 600 more acres of clearcutting? OMG
Dave and NancyParticipantThat is odd. Both my son & I have opened it without any issues, and I have opened it on both a Windows machine and a Mac.
gagacabinParticipantMaybe it is just me, but I can’t open it. Says I need a password.
Dave and NancyParticipantHere’s a link to everything you could possibly want to know about the upcoming timber harvest north and west of Dorrington: ftp://thp.fire.ca.gov/THPLibrary/Sierra_Southern_Region/THPs2014/4-14-011CAL.

everikParticipantThanks mtndad! I knew someone up here would know the right resources to look up. Sounds like our local fire resources are doing a great job at keeping us safe. My hat’s off to them!
mtndadParticipantFrom Pine Tree.net
Dorrington, CA….We just checked in with TCU Command and air and ground resources are on scene of a two acre fire near Airola Ranch. More to follow if needed. Hopefully not….Update…forward progress was stopped and crews will be on scene for awhile to make sure it is controlled. Great work everyone. Handling this fire were a mixture of Federal and State resources. From what we have observed this year so far that even fires in USFS areas are being jumped early and hard similar to SRA or state responsibility area. Looks like lessons from the Rim Fire have been put into place.
jandmParticipantWow we all know they’re here but seeing this is amazing. Thanks for sharing.
