Thanks! Nice picture! I don’t need it any bigger than the one attached. Not sure when I’ll get around to changing the picture.

I have a panorama picture of snowshoe lake that might be good for a banner at the top of the page. I can send you the raw file if you want, I had to re-size it to upload it here.

I know just enough about PHP to 1) get me by and 2) to be dangerous! 🙂

FYI – If anyone is interested, we broke trail on the Cabbage Patch Rd yesterday out to the Blue Canyon overlook.

We didn’t go out the last 50 yards from the road to the overlook since we were running out of time.

Nice start to the season! 12-15 inches in Big Trees. Very cold…it was 12 degrees on my deck Sunday morning.
Driving was no fun. There was white-over ice/snow on the road starting below 2,500 feet. Fortunately, few cars wound up in the snow banks.

The old BigTreesTech was such a hodge podge conglomerate of various components, some deeply modified, some completely written by me, that upgrades were next to impossible. At the time that I built it it was kind of state of the art in terms of integration of various components but the state of the art didn’t stand still 😉

    R.I.P. Old Site. 🙁

I had to upgrade our (my brother and I’s) genealogy website a couple of weeks ago too because of the PHP upgrade. Luckily it went smoothly.

For what it’s worth, as of this morning at 7:30 AM, the old site would have stopped functioning.

Took the snow pole out for the wedding reception in our yard earlier in the year. It won’t go back up until next year at the earliest unless I get a wild hair some warm day. You can always ask how deep it is. We got close to a foot, depending on where you measure, and it’s settled down to 6 to 8 inches.

    Howdy folks,

We recently had a hot water heater installed at our BTV home by KCM plumbing in Arnold. He did an excellent job. 795-6129. There is also a local BTV handyman named Ed, I can’t think of his last name at the moment, who treated a similar event 10 years ago as an emergency. We had 15 pipes break. Ed’s repairs are still holding up.

    Hi,

When we had a broken pipe at our cabin in Dorrington on Easter weekend, we asked at Camp Connell store for recommendations. After several phone calls, we were able to find someone to come out. (Sorry can’t recall the name.) Perhaps call the store and ask for suggestions? I think one of the recommendations was Russell J Peffer Plumbing (209) 795-4551 Arnold, CA
