Snowshoe1958Participant
I bought the book awhile ago, very interesting man.
Check Amazon
Traveler of the Crossroads; The Life of Adventurer Nicol SmithallenParticipantThanks for the info. Yes, ours was scrambled on the 18th also. I was going to post something yesterday but I was super busy. For now I am using my non-HD DTA. I understand they will provide an HD DTA for six months free and then it’s $10 a month. I’ll have to think about that. I’m tempted to get rid of the cable TV altogether and just watch streaming video from Netflix and Amazon. Problem is I still need Internet.
MCTParticipantOurs was not actually scrambled until the 18th either. But once that happened we had to use their DTAs. The HD-DTAs did work and we have local HD channels with Limited Basic. Had to find them in the 703-712 channel range, but they were there…
bigtreestechmanKeymasterI believe the name is Francis Nicol Smith, often going by Niclol Smith.
jebediah jakeParticipantDoes anyone remember the name of the book that recorded this history of the family and ownership of the camps around Old Boards Crossing, and the name of family?
allenParticipantInteresting. They are at least one day late as we watched limited basic TV today without any Comcast boxes or adapters. I guess I’ll see what happens tomorrow (Sept 18th). Thanks for posting the email.

bigtreestechmanKeymasterJust to give you an idea as to the magnitude of the problem…
In the first day of the new site launch, I had to personally weed through over 100 spammer registration requests. In the last couple days, since installing some security tools, almost 700 spammer registration requests have been blocked automatically. I’ve still had to deal with a few who snuck through, but a few is a lot better than 700!
In addition to the spam registration requests there’s another tool that gives visibility into who and how often people are trying to snoop around files where they have no business, log in as people who they are not, or even try to make fake logins.
Too bad there isn’t an international agency to find spammers and hackers and find something productive for them to do.SandiParticipantTesting out posting videos. This is back on August 30
bigtreestechmanKeymasterThe real time snapshots and current conditions will be off line for a few hours while I do some maintenance.
joehammer4ParticipantJoe,
I like everything about the new format and layout better than the earlier version. It’s faster, easier, and more intuitive. You are doing a great job. We will all be patient with the changes and additions that are yet to come.
bigtreestechmanKeymasterHi VNJ, those graphs are really too small to read anyway. If you click on one that you want to see, it will open up a big version without the title bar.
I had to add the title bar because it was too difficult to even tell what the graph was without it.
Sometime I may make some changes or go back to the way it was on the old site where you had to click on the current condition to get the graph.
joeallenParticipantGood luck blocking spammers. They always seem to find a way around spam blocks.
allenParticipantvnjParticipantAt least on my computer (Win 7 and Firefox 23) the titles at the bottom of each of the 24 Hour Weather graphs cover the lower portion of each graph. Not a high priority issue because you can view the entire graph (without title) by clicking on it, but thought I would point it out.
