Hi Adam..you might want to update your ad at the bottom of this page…by changing “SNOW” to “TREE & STUMP” ..and maybe a new photo, too. Best Wishes! 😉

still use a 30 year old Stihl 029 Super Farm Boss w/20″ bar, runs great and a 40 yo mac 10″ bar trim saw. From Gardenland in Los Gatos. They set up saw when I first bought it and power adjusted it.

We are with Foremost Insurance, handled through Mark Twain Insurance in Angels Camp- their phone is (209) 736-2200. Our insurance company for our house in the Bay Area and the broker that we work with for our primary residence were no help with the cabin.

The last time I researched this the I found the information to be very much in flux. Companies that were not renewing policies one month might offer them the next.

Some people where getting renewals with one company when other people were not (for a variety of reasons).

I had to go with California Fair Plan for fire, and someone else for everything else – I had to have two policies.

If you are happy with your coverage, get out your old policy and call all the insurers you can find and give them the same information that was in your last policy, so that you could make a apples to apples comparison when you do find someone to insure you.

I found there to be a wide variance in the price for the same coverage.

You may want to start with a call to the local realtors to find out who they are working with to write policies as of today.

I know this topic has been discussed several times, but for the life of me I cannot locate a thread on it. Can someone please recommend some homeowners insurance companies that cover Camp Connell? My current provider has just informed me that they will not be renewing the policy that I have had with them the past 14 years.

    Thanks in advance!

Don’t know about the person you are asking about. However, we had Proper Pruning remove ~15 trees on our lot last week. They did a good job, for a fair price and did a excellent job removing all the left-over debris from the tree removal.

I don’t have any personal knowledge of this particular guy, but I will caution you to be sure that whoever you hire is licensed and insured. Had a guy give me a “great price” last fall to do quite a bit of tree work. All set to hire him but he couldn’t produce his paperwork. Trees aren’t something you want to mess around with insurance-wise, that’s for sure!

Both Huskys and Stihls are professional grade chainsaws and you can’t really go wrong with either. I’ve owned and operated Stihl saws for years. When purchasing a Stihl be sure to get a professional saw and not a homeowner saw. They are built to last.

Hi- anyone familiar with this guy? I was at our place on Iroquois last week and he stopped by. He had his truck and rig and said he was working in the area. I have some trees to be removed and he gave me a great price. Anyone have any experience working with him? His name is Arnold Bonilla.

    Thanks!

I met a guy last week at Sourgrass who had caught about a half dozen good size trout in the flat spots below the bridge. He’d tried everything- salmon eggs, Powerbait, lures, and nothing. Then he used worms, weighted to drift low close to the bottom, and said he caught his limit in about a half hour.
